On February 19, 2026, the University of the Philippines Cebu hosted the Public Consultation on Anti-Political Dynasty Measures at the Performing Arts Hall. Convened by the House Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms, the consultation gathered legislators, policy authors, students, faculty, civil society representatives, and members of the public to discuss proposed legislative measures. The activity included panel discussions, stakeholder messages, and an open forum for public feedback. As part of a nationwide public hearing initiative, the event strengthened participatory democratic processes and multi-sectoral dialogue, directly advancing SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
