Last July 7-10, 2026, the UP Cebu Local Health Leadership and Governance Program (LHLGP) Team through the Project Lead Dr. Ana Leah Cuizon and Asst. Project Lead Dr. Lorel Dee with Atty. Cyril Bryan Cuizon served as resource persons to the Provincial Health Leadership and Development Program Module 1 conducted by the Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD 7) and the Zuellig Family Foundation, Inc (ZFF). The sessions during the 3-day seminar-workshop were co-facilitated by the UP Cebu team and the Cebu Normal University resource persons with Dr. Catherine Chung of ZFF.
PHLDP strives to strengthen local health systems in the delivery of the Universal Health Care Law through capacitating the provincial health team with the leadership of the governor. The seminar-workshop will be followed by a six-month practicum to facilitate the implementation of scheduled activities as per action planning. The two provinces (Cebu and Bohol) provincial health teams will convene again for the next module after the prescribed practicum period.
