The UP Cebu Local Health Leadership and Governance Program (LHLGP) Team conducted the LHLGP Module 2 to last July 27-31, 2026 at Summit Galleria Cebu with five (5) LGUs from Bohol and 7 LGUs from Bohol. Alcoy, Bogo City, Daanbantayan, Dumanjug, Liloan, Ronda, Tuburan are the LGUs from Cebu, while Inabanga, Batuan, Bilar, Maribojoc and Catigbian are the participating LGUs from Bohol. The program aims to train local chief executives (LCEs) and the municipal health officers (MHOs) together with the development management officers (DMOs) in order to capacitate LGUs in the delivery of health services in their localities aligned with the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law.

The LHLGP Module 1 was conducted last March, which was followed by a five-month practicum wherein the LGUs were given the opportunity to implement their action plan as intervention to the gaps and challenges they were able to identify in their Health Roadmap. Day 1 of Module 2 exhibited the “report back” of the LGUs to highlight their accomplishments and “quick wins”. The LCEs emphasized the areas in their building blocks of health that they still need to prioritize as the program progresses. The next 3 days presented lecture-workshop sessions on deepening leadership for managing change. The practicum period for Module 2 commences right after the presentation of the action planning on the last day of the LHLGP session run.
