Bachelor of

Physical Education

This program equips students with the necessary competencies to perform and teach various dance and sports activities effectively, as well as design and manage simple recreational programs. Offered as a standard four-year bachelor’s degree, the program also features a two-year ladderized track (Associate in Arts Sports Studies), allowing students to earn an associate credential while seamlessly building toward a full degree in physical education and sports leadership.

To be a transformative Sports and Physical Education program that advances human movement, wellness, sports science, and inclusive development in the Visayas, the nation, and the global society through excellence in instruction, application of research, and public service.

Mission

Aligned with the mission of UP Cebu and the ideals of the University of the Philippines, the program commits to:

    1. Provide quality and inclusive physical education, sports science, fitness, and human movement grounded in honor, integrity, and
      excellence;
    2. Develop competent, disciplined, ethical, and socially responsive graduates equipped with scientific knowledge and practical skills in
      sports, wellness, and physical activities;
    3. Promote lifelong fitness, wellness, sportsmanship, and holistic human development among the UP community through inclusive, learner-centered, and evidence-based physical education programs and activities.
