Hazel Avergonzado Trapero, DIT
Assistant Professor
Hazel Avergonzado Trapero is a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. She is also a Research Excellence Awardee (2018-2021) while completing her degree (Doctor in Information Technology) at De La Salle University-Manila. She is currently teaching IT subjects in the High School Program, Special Problem in the Department of Computer Science, and Methods of Research and Special Problem in the Master of Education Program. She is also the Public Information Officer of the College of Social Sciences. Aside from that, she is engaged in several Research-related collaborations, particularly on topics related to her specialization, which includes human-computer interaction (HCI) like chatbots, and research interests which include HCI, the internet of things, translation systems, robotics, and augmented reality. Lastly, she is passionate about sharing knowledge and, in fact, one of the mentoring coaches of the action research mentoring program for Cebu City Don Carlos A. Gothong Memorial National High School Teachers and is willing to offer her time as a Resource Speaker of IT- and Research-related topics.
