Ronald Aurelio Pernia is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Programme, College of Social Sciences, University of the Philippines Cebu, Cebu City, Philippines. His research focuses on political behavior, comparative authoritarian politics, institutional trust, populism and educational politics. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the Institute of Political Science at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
